HANDYMADE
L’ouvroir
WORK
Handymade bags are made from recycled materials. Indeed, they were designed with construction site tarpaulins that covered the Brussels Grand-Place. This project is part of a circular economic movement, which aims to revalue waste.
THE DESIGNER
Damien is the manager of the adapted work company “L’Ouvroir”. L’Ouvroir has been an active company since 1927, its role is to offer a rewarding and remunerative job to people with disabilities. It is therefore at the heart of this workshop that the Handymade in Brussels project emerged.
Artist, designer, stylist, but above all partners concerned with developing inclusive synergies, where each actor can highlight his own skills. The Ouvroir therefore works for an economic, ecological and solidarity transition.
